Banditelle is a secluded country villa in the Italian region of Umbria.  The Italians call this region 'Italy's green heart'.  Umbria is a land of alternating wide plains, river valleys and rolling hills which are dotted with medieval hill towns, castles and fortresses.  It lies just east of Tuscany, north of Rome and west of the Marches.

A holiday at Banditelle offers many possibilites.  Days of peace and tranquillity at the villa or exploration of the many hill top towns and Italy's beautiful Cities.

Visitors to Banditelle immediately fall in love with its location and stunning views.  The villa has been completely renovated. Set within its own grounds you will enjoy total privacy.  There is an outdoor swimming pool and a large patio area, both of which benefit from beautiful views straight down the Carpina Valley.

If you are looking for total relaxation, Banditelle is perfect for this. Imagine lazy days with a good book, good wine and occasional dips in the pool, surrounded by nature at its very best. Evening barbecues are made enchanting by the sound of cicadas, deer and nightjars and the sight of dancing fireflies.

If you want to venture from the villa you are free to roam a number of national footpath trails in the area. The unspoilt hill top villages are within easy reach. A visit to Mount Nerone (approximately 40 minutes drive) is a must with its abundance of wild flowers and spectacular views.  If you want to travel a little further afield there is the famous town of Assisi, there is also Perugia, Siena, Urbino, Cortona, Orvieto, Spoleto, Firenze, Todi and Lake Trasimeno. A particular favourite is Gubbio a medieval hillside town with a wealth of wonderful views from the cable car, lovely little shops to browse around and plenty of restaurants for a spot of lunch. You can be in the centre of Rome in two hours by taking the train from Fossato di Vico.
